NSH Technology to close its Döbeln production site in 2026

At the end of November, the management of NSH TECHNOLOGY informed its employees that the Döbeln production site is expected to be shut down at the end of Q1 2026.

This decision was made against the backdrop of years of rising costs combined with a recent slump in demand for RASOMA products manufactured at the Döbeln site. This challenging situation is forcing NSH TECHNOLOGY to make difficult decisions.

Previous support measures from the corporate group have not been sufficient to make the Döbeln production site economically viable in the long term.

Managing Director Klaus Kräher comments:

"This decision was anything but easy for us, and we carefully examined all alternatives, not least because of the long history of the machine tool manufacturing site in Döbeln. For us as a medium-sized family business, the closure of the Döbeln site is a very difficult decision. However, it is necessary and will secure the long-term economic stability of NSH TECHNOLOGY. We also have this responsibility towards our employees at our other sites, as well as towards our partners and customers."

The employees affected will be offered a range of support measures to make the transition as smooth as possible. Trainees at the site will be offered the opportunity to continue their vocational training at one of the company's other locations.

Managing Director Klaus Kräher comments: “We are disappointed that it has come to this. And we fully understand the displeasure of those affected. Our goal is to work with the works council to make this change as bearable and fair as possible for everyone.”

All agreements and contracts, including services with customers, remain unaffected by this economically necessary step. These will be fulfilled in full by NSH TECHNOLOGY. In addition, RASOMA brand products will continue to be an integral part of the NSH Technology product portfolio.
